The International Business Conference of Nagarathars (IBCN, 2017) is scheduled to take place in Dubai from April 14 to 16, 2017 at a local hotel.

This Conference is held every two years to promote entrepreneurship and encourage youngsters to choose entrepreneurship rather than employment. Earlier, the event was held in Singapore in 2013 and in India in 2015.

UAE has been chosen for the year 2017 keeping in view the excellent business possibilities available here for young entrepreneurs and the growth of trade between UAE and India. The aim of the conference is to provide support to creation of business forums across the world in cities where the Nagarathars live including workshops and seminars that enhance and enrich the business skills, latest trends and regulatory requirement among the entrepreneurs, to educate and train youth on the entrepreneurship, and facilitate setting up a centralised platform (E-platform and others).

The conference helps the entrepreneurs to understand the challenges and how to meet such challenges through networking.

The IBCN 2017 – Business Plan Competition (IBCN-BPC) is a unique community level start up competition. It is hosted by NBIG (Nagarathar Business Initiative Group) as part of IBCN 2017 – Dubai event.

The Goal of the IBCN-BPC is to provide the best overall educational and entrepreneurial experience of any business plan/new venture. The competition is designed to give entrepreneurs at different stages, a real-world experience to fine tune their ideas, business plans and elevator pitches. The competition would provide a platform to move from an idea to a fundable business proposition and help them through the thought process of commercialising their product. Entrepreneur of the week is a program which captures interesting business stories of Nagarathar entrepreneurs across the world, in order to inspire other Nagarathars to move in to the world of entrepreneurship and motivate them to reach greater heights. The details of the challenges faced, success achieved and a message for the young entrepreneurs are narrated along with personal details.

This is in continuation of the EOTW initiative begun by NEU-IBCN 2015 team, Coimbatore.
